Nose: champion of elegance. The classic notes of Springbank are mitigated and stand out after a few moments: soft unripe fruits (green apple, yellow apple, Williams pear), then move on to spicy notes, ginger and green pepper. Orange peel and hints of cocoa beans complete the flavor profile. Slightly mentholated after several minutes of airing it out.

Palate: spicy first sip. Then acacia honey, orange jam and yellow fruit. Round and equipped with an excellent intensity. The spices are well persistent throughout the course of the sip.

Finish: medium-long persistence. Of good complexity. Spices, cocoa beans, sour red fruits and bitter orange are perceptible.

Springbank produces products of excellent quality. This 21 years gives us the most refined facet of this whisky, usually decided, but here more complex, elegant and sometimes gentle. A product to try and to not miss out on.
