In recent days, the front and back labels of what should be the new Ardbeg Drum appeared, the special edition of Ardbeg that will be released in conjunction with the Ardbeg Day, during the Feis Ile, the Festival that every year, on island of Islay, celebrates the distilleries with special and limited bottlings.
The Ardbeg Drum: after an initial aging in ex-Bourbon casks, the spirit passes a final period in ex-Rum barrels. The alcohol content is 52% ABV for the release dedicated to the members of the Ardbeg Committee, while there is no news on the generic release, usually released at lower gradation and with a different label.
The labels have been disseminated by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, the office which, in the United States, monitors the labels of the products that are soon to be imported. We will update this post with any new news.
