This Macallan 8yo Fine Oak is a bottle released a few years ago and represents the new way of work of the distillery. To make it, a mix of bourbon and sherry casks are used. Macallan was previously known for bottlings only in sherry, producing some bottlles that made the history of the distillate.

Nose: light, yellow fruit, white pepper, cereals, cereal cookies. Green salad.

Palate: yellow fruit, vanilla, green pepper, strawberry, cereal cookies.

Finish: spices, vanilla, yellow fruit, cereals.

Young and light, this is a newwer version of the new Macallan. A little bit of sherry and a lot more bourbon. Refined but a on the anonymous side.
