Through a press release on May 14, Crowned Heads is pleased to announce the Las Calaveras EL 2018, the fifth of this annual release. Originally, introduced in 2014, Las Calaveras is a cigar created as a tribute to those who disappeared the previous year, and is intended to be a celebration of life and memories rather than a symbol of sadness and death. As with the previous four releases, the blend is completely new and unique. Unchanged, however, the spirit behind the cigar: the choice to celebrate the life of those who have kindly shared their legacies.
”The 2018 marks the fifth anniversary of the Las Calaveras line ” said Jon Huber, co-founder of Crowned Heads, ” we thought it appropriate to use a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, that covers a 100% Nicaraguan binder and filler. Furthermore, its packaging was inspired by the bright colors of the Dia de Los Muertos celebrations”. Las Calaveras EL 2018 will be offered in three different sizes. In addition a sampler containing four cigars, of which one size (56 x 140 mm) is made exclusively for the sampler, will be launched as well. The recommended retail price will vary from $ 9.95 to $ 11.95. The three available sizes will be:
– LC46 (46 x 143 mm)
– LC50 (50 x 127 mm)
– LC54 (54 x 152 mm)
Las Calaveras EL 2018 is made at My Father Cigars S.A., in Estelì, Nicaragua. The total production will be limited to 1,700 24-count boxes, for each of the three boxes. Production of the sampler is limited to 3.000. Shipments will start in June.
