Foundation Cigar Co. newest addition to their portfolio is an interesting collaboration, with the English Highclere Castle Cigar Co., called Highclere Castle.

Highclere’s long cigar history dates back to 1862 and it was tradition, that after dinner they would always retire to the library for a cigar and a glass of whisky.

Nick Melillo created a blend that reflects the flavor profile and smoking style of those historic early 1900s. Said blend uses a Connecticut Shade wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder, with filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, which includes Criollo and Corojo tobaccos  , from the Jalapa and Omotepe region, and a hybrid-seed called Nicadán.

The Highclere Castle line will be made up of five sizes:

    •    Churchill, 48 x 178 mm
    •    Corona, 46 x 140 mm
    •    Petit Corona, 42 x 127 mm
    •    Robusto, 50 x 127 mm
    •    Toro, 52 x 152 mm

The new line will be presented at the coming IPCPR and will be available in the US at select retailer in early September, with an international distribution, including the Highclere Castle, following shortly after. Prices will vary from $12 to $16, depending on the size, and are packaged in 20 count boxes.
