Campesino was created by Edgar Julien Sued, brand owner, and the Master Blender Francisco Chico Rivas. The cigars are produced at Chico’s factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.

Aesthetically, it presents a oily and captivating Colorado shaded wrapper. Silky smooth to the touch. Construction does not show problems.

Campesino Robusto Definitivo: the cold draw reveals hints of hay. The opening brings spicy notes, chili in particular, to the palate.

Entering the first third of the cigar, the spices stay in the foreground and are now a mix of black pepper and chili pepper. Damp earth in the background. Strength is slightly above medium (3.5/5).

The second third sees the appearance of roasted coffee aromas joined by herbal notes Strength remains constant (3.5/5).

The final third alternates leather and hints of nutmeg. There is also a rich coffee bean aroma present. Strength is now on a medium-full level (4/5).

Overall, the Campesino Robusto Definitivo releases a smoke with excellent persistence. It is particularly spicy in the first half, and then gives way to a more structured flavor profile. Good in intensity and it gives also rise to a good evolution.
